	ISTANBUL - 224 people, including 46 children, who were detained by the police after Newroz yesterday, were released after their statements.

	&nbsp;

	After the magnificent Istanbul Newroz celebrated with the slogan "Everywhere is Newroz, Everytime is Freedom." In Istanbul yesterday, 224 people, 46 of them children, were battered and detained by the police. While 46 detained children were taken to the Fatih District Police Department Juvenile Bureau, 178 people were taken to the Istanbul Police Department on Vatan Street.
