	ISTANBUL - The winners of the 26th Metin Göktepe Journalism Awards have been announced this year. In this year's competition, the reporters of MA and JINNEWS, who were imprisoned, were awarded the Jury's special Award.

	This year's winners of the Metin Göktepe Journalism Awards, first given in 1998 in order to keep the memories of Evrensel newspaper reporter Metin Göktepe and the journalists lost in the line of duty, and to encourage young journalists on reporting based on facts, have been announced this year.

	JURY'S SPECIAL AWARD

	The Jury has decided to award two more Jury's Special Awards this year. It has been decided to give the Special Jury Award to the Mesopotamia Agency and JINNEWS reporters who have recently been subjected to mass arrests. In addition, it was decided to give the Special Jury Award to Iskenderun Voice Reporter Akın Bodur, one of the journalists injured in the earthquake, to commemorate the journalists who lost their lives in the earthquake and on behalf of the injured journalists. Ayşe Figen Arlı, owner and founder of Iskenderun Ses Newspaper and holder of the Continuous Press Card, died in the February 6 earthquakes.
