26 civilians killed and more than 140 wounded in 48 days in Tishreen 2025-01-24 08:40:14 NEWS CENTER - Turkey and the SNA have killed 26 civilians, including journalists, artists and politicians, and wounded more than 140 citizens in the attacks against the Tishreen Dam since December 8.  The attacks launched by Turkey and the syrian National Army (SNA) against the Tishreen Dam and Qereqozak Bridge since December 8, 2024 entered its 47th day. The resistance of Kurdish, Arab, Armenian and Assyrian peoples against the attacks continues. In the attacks, 26 people, including journalists, artists and politicians, were killed and more than 140 people were injured.    CIVILIANS BOMBED 11 TIMES   Citizens started a vigil at the Tishreen Dam on January 8 with the call of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria against the attacks. From the day the demonstration started until January 22, Turkey and the SNA bombed the vigil 11 times.    The balance sheet of 48 days of attacks is as follows;   * On December 10, 2024, fierce clashes broke out after the Turkish-backed SNA forces attacked the Tishreen Dam. The attack was repulsed. As a result of the attacks, electricity was cut in the Euphrates Canton. As a result of Turkey's attacks, electricity was cut in Sirîn, Kobanê, Ayn Issa, Qinê, Çelebiyê and villages around Euphrates Canton. The dam was completely disabled due to the ongoing attacks.    * On December 11, 2024, 2 people were killed and 2 others were wounded in a Turkish attack on an ambulance carrying the wounded on the Sirrîn-Tishreen dam road. It was learned that one of those killed was ambulance driver Kurdo Bozî.    * Between December 10-13, more than 160 attacks were conducted by UCAVs on Tishreen Dam and its surroundings. The dam and civilian settlements were also targeted in these attacks. On December 14, 2024, Euphrates and Manbij cantons were cut off from electricity and water supply due to the Turkish and SNA attacks on Tishreen Dam and Qereqozak bridge. On December 15, 2024, houses belonging to citizens were heavily damaged as a result of the bombardment against Tishreen Dam and the surroundings of Euphrates Canton.   * On December 18, 2024, during the attacks on Tishreen Dam, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters found a document written 'Ministry of Interior Hatay Governorate Temporary Protection Identity Document' on the SNA member named “Melik Erabi”.   * On December 19, 2024, the vehicle carrying journalists Cihan Bilgin and Nazım Daştan was targeted by a Turkish drone on the road between Tishreen Dam and Sirîn town. Both journalists were killed and the driver of the vehicle, Ezîz Hec Bozan, was wounded.    * On December 26, 2024, the Manbij Military Council responded to the claims of the Ministry of Defense that “the SNA is in full control of the dam” with the words “We are currently at the Tishreen Dam and we are on our way to Manbij”. On the same day, SDF Press Officer Farhad Shamie denied the Defense Ministry's statement that “the SNA is in full control of the Tishreen Dam” with the words “We are here and we will be here” in his speech on the dam.   * On December 27, 2024, Mehmûd Mudir Muslim (50), a security guard of the municipality, was killed in an attack against the municipality building in Tishreen town. Many vehicles and houses were damaged.    * On January 2, a Turkish UCAV bombed a bakery in Ciriniyê town south of Tishreen Dam, causing material damage to the bakery.   * On January 2, “Huras El Dîn” SNA groups from Uzbekistan, Turkistan and Chechnya attacked Etşanê, Seîdîn, Xirbet Tiwênê, Mihşiyet El Şêx, Ubêd El Mistefa, Xirbet Zemale, Mestaha, Girê Siryatel and Eloş villages southeast of Manbij.   * From December 8 until January 3, Turkey and the SNA conducted more than 280 airstrikes on Tishreen Dam and its surroundings.    * On January 3, Turkey bombarded the town of Dêr Hafir 3 times and Tishreen Dam 5 times with warplanes.    * On January 8, 3 civilians were killed and 15 civilians were wounded in a Turkish drone attack against civilians on their way to the dam. The names of those killed in the attack on the convoy on the way to Tishreen Dam are as follows: “Zozan Hemo, Kerem Ehmed El Shihab El Hemed (one of the executives of Zenûbiya Women's Community), Azad Ferhan Mihemed Hesan (member of Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement). The names of the injured citizens are as follows; Dıyar Mıhemed Hecî, Mıhemed Mıstefa Heqıl, Hısên Salım Sılêman, Mıstefa Mehmûd Yûsıf, Arıf Elî Ehmed, Mıhemed Enter Beko, Delîl Ebdela Mıhemed, Aldar Ebd, Elezîz Ibrahîm, Şeyda, Najîb Berkel, Masûd Fetah Eqîl, Mıhemed Osman Daban, Mehmûd, Hesen Şahîn, Feyha Elî, Îbrahîm Xelîl Salih.   * Mistefa Ebdî and Elî Şaşo were killed on 9 January when their vehicles were bombed on their way to the dam watch from Girkê village of Kobanê.   * On 15 January, the civilian masses on their way to Tishreen Dam from Euphrates Canton were attacked once again. According to the first information, 1 citizen was killed and 4 were wounded as a result of the bombardment. In another attack on the same day, 3 more citizens were killed and 19 were wounded. A total of 4 people were killed and 22 people were wounded in one day. The names of those who were killed are as follows: Omer Hisên Derwêş, Osman Mustefa Îbrahîm and Basim Omer. Some of the wounded are as follows: Îlham Xelîl Derwêş (36), Dîlan Murad Xelîl (21), Edle Mustefa Mihemed Elî (24), Azad Idrîs, Yasir Hemîd, Mazlûm Hemo (30), Meryem Henan (70), Mahir Mehyedîn, Kurdo Mehmûd Hesen, Fatme Omer Elî, Izedîn Hecî Ebas, Osman Îbrahîm, Hîbe Omer Ezîz, Ronîze Mihemed Elî and Mihemed Ebdulqadir.   * On 16 January, an attack was carried out against the people keeping watch at Tishreen Dam. In the attack, 1 citizen was killed and 17 civilians were wounded. Mihemed Hiso, a member of Internal Security Forces, was killed in a second attack on the same day.   * On 18 January, 6 citizens were killed and 19 people were wounded in the attack against civilians on watch. The names of the murdered people are as follows: Bavê Teyar, Ekrem Rixo, Kêfo Osman, Menîce Heyder, Mizefer Mihemed and Ebdulqadir Îbrahîm. The names of the wounded are as follows: Rojda Necmedîn Osman, Ebdulkerîm Mihemed Ebdo, Siyabend Silêman, Ubeyd Elî, Munther Yusuf Hesen, Ebdulkerîm Mihemed, Xelîl Hisên, Bager Jîan, Mihemed Emîn Derwêş Elî, Xesan Elî, Leyla Mihemed, Rîva Semîr, Ehmed Xulamê Min, Fewaz Hesen, Ebdulrezaq Mihemed, Wedha El Esmer, Faris Xelef, Şêrîn Hisên, Hesen Ebdulqadir Hesen and Amer Fewaz Silêman.   * The driver and nurse were wounded in the attack against the ambulance taking the wounded to hospital after the massacre on 18 January.   * On 21 January, 2 people were killed and 20 people were wounded in the attack against Tişrîn Dam. The names of the murdered people are as follows: Hezna Ebdê (member of Women's Social Defence Forces) and Mihyedîn Hisên Umer (member of Democratic Union Party).   * Roniza Mihemed Elî, a young woman who lost her life on 22 January, was wounded in the attack on 15 January.   * In another attack on 22 January, 22 citizens were wounded, including Ednan Ilêwî, the head of Tebqa Canton Democratic Islamic Congress Al Al-Bayt Union. Among them, 65-year-old Mihemed Şefîq Îsmaîl died despite all interventions.   NORTH AND EAST SYRIA   On the other hand, more than 25 civilians were killed in the attacks on Dêrik, Ayn Issa, Manbij and Kobanê between 8 December and 15 January.
