Warden threats prisoners: Once this process end we know what will do to you 2025-04-17 12:23:32 COLEMÊRG - The director of Erzurum Dumlu Prison No. 2 allegedly raided the wards and threatened prisoners by saying, "We know what we will do to you once this solution process ends." Violations in Erzurum Dumlu High Security Prison No 2, which is on the agenda with rights violations, continue. Mazlum Aksac, a prisoner held in Dumlu Prison, told about the rights violations in his weekly phone call with his family. In the voice recording of the call, Aksac said, "In the morning, all the wards where we were political prisoners were raided and everything in the fridge, bed, wardrobe, food, sheets, even letters were either torn or scattered around. Some political prisoners in other wards said, 'Don't worry, we know what we will do to you. We will show you what we will do to you'. We reacted to the situation, but they said they would carry out a search. We do not accept this situation. We demand that everyone, especially human rights organisations and institutions, take action. Because the prison director said that this kind of situation will happen every day. Everyone needs to speak out so that this does not become a habit."   'PROVOCATION ATTEMPTS'   Mazlum Aksac's family members reacted to the situation and said, "While we were talking to Mazlum on the phone, he told us that they were under pressure from the guards and the prison director and that they distributed all their belongings in their room. We recorded this on audio tape. Mazlum also told us that the prison director threatened him by saying 'Wait, we will treat you differently after the solution process ends'. In Erzurum Prison, political prisoners are constantly subjected to such pressure and ill-treatment. Dumlu Prison, which ranks at the top of the rights violation reports every month, does not surprise us again. We see such attitudes as provocations at a time when the solution process is being discussed. Many people and institutions continue these unlawful practices in order to undermine the process. We hope that the state authorities and the Ministry of Justice will prevent this situation and that the process will be carried out under better conditions."   REQUEST FOR INVESTIGATION   Demanding an end to the ill-treatment and oppression policies, the family stated that the necessary actions should be taken regarding the incident, that the words of the prison director were completely aimed at undermining the process and that an investigation should be opened againt these people immediately.    The family stated that they will apply to human rights organisations regarding the violations Aksac and the prisoners have been subjected to.   MA / Mazlum Engindeniz
