Preparoty footage of the historical ceremony

	NEWS CENTER - Footage of preparations made by the Peace and Democratic Society Group prior the weapons burning ceremony has been released. Members of the Peace and Democratic Society Group, led by KCK Executive Council Co-chiar Bese Hozat, destroyed their weapons in response to call of Abdullah Ocalan.

	 

	Fırat News Ageccny (ANF) released footage of the group members' preparations ahead of the hsitoric ceremony. The report stated that the group, consisting of 15 women and 15 men, first watched a video message from Abdullah Öcalan. During this time, slogans such as "Bijî Serok Apo (Long live Leader Apo), "Bi can, bi xwîn em bi te re ne Ey Serok! (With life and blood we are with you Leader)", "Bê Serok jiyan nabe (Wİthout Leader there is no life), "Jin, jiyan, azadî (Woman, life, freedom)" and "Bijî Partiya Karkeren Kurdistan (Long live Kurdistan Workers Party)" were chanted. 

	 

	In the footage, Bese Hozat addresses the group members and said: "Today, we have gathered here for a very important and historical work. As you all know, the process began in 2024. For over a decade, our people and our movement have been facing a comprehensive annihilation and genocide campaign carried out by the Turkish state. However, despite these attacks, the Turkish state has failed to achieve its objectives. All their plans have come to naught, and they have not achieved the results they sought. The guerrillas have shown tremendous resistance throughout this process. On this occasion, we congratulate all our comrades who have led the resistance and remember our fallen comrades with respect and gratitude. Thanks to their sacrifices, the enemy's plans have been thwarted. They experienced serious setbacks, especially in Metina and Zap. Their goal was to reach Kandil within three years. However, this plan did not work. This resistance grew not only in the mountains but also in the hearts of the people. Our people in the four parts of Kurdistan always stood firm and provided strong support for the struggle. The guerrillas' resistance gave our people great courage and hope. Thanks to this common will, our movement is still alive today and continues on its path with increasing strength."

	 

	Recalling Öcalan's words, "Communes should be established everywhere," Bese Hozat stressed: "This expresses the will for self-government and self-management. This is the line of autonomy. Our movement wants to spread this line not only in Kurdistan but also in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. In this way, it aims to both liberate Kurdistan and ensure the democratisation of the peoples of the region." 

	 

	A NEW BEGINNING

	 

	The messages of the group members were also reflected in the images. The group members pointed out that the weapon burning ceremony was "a new beginning, a new birth," saying, "We are going to carryout the instructions given by Leader Apo."
