Defending human rights in this country has always required courage, patience, and conscience. Every friend who has served in the IHD has been the conscience of this country; they have been the hope of the oppressed and marginalized. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude and affection to all our friends who have served and worked hard in the past. I remember with respect and gratitude our friends who lost their lives in this cause. I believe that the legacy of struggle carried by the IHD from the past to the present will be further strengthened by the decisions you will make today. I wish the newly elected administration success and sincerely congratulate all my friends who will take on responsibilities. We will definitely build a free, equal, and just future together. I greet you all with love and respect. With the hope of meeting in free days…”
