Statement from DAANES regarding attacks against Alevis 2025-11-26 16:05:44   NEWS CENTER - The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has reacted to the Syrian Interim Government's attacks against Alevis in coastal regions, calling for an end to hate speech that divides the social mosaic.   In a statement expressing its concern about the increasing attacks in Syria, particularly in the coastal areas and Suwayda, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES) warned that targeting civilians and protesters would plunge the country into a new wave of violence.   The statement noted that attacks on demonstrators demanding their legitimate rights and the use of armed groups under names such as "Tribal Army" and "Tribal Forces" constitute systematic crimes aimed at undermining internal peace and sowing discord among Syrians.   ‘WE STAND WITH THE PEOPLE’S HOPES’   The statement expressed support for the hopes of the people in all regions of Syria and their rights to peaceful freedom, justice and equality, noting that "the only way to overcome the current phase and the increasing chaos in the country is through political and peaceful dialogue."    The Autonomous Administration called on the Interim Government to respect the will of the people and end violence against civilians, warning that the dangerous escalation in Homs, the coast and Suwayda would have "dangerous consequences" for the country's future and the process of establishing a decentralised democratic state.   The statement noted that repeated attacks against civilians constitute "a violation of human values" and called for an end to hate speech that divides the social mosaic.   The Autonomous Administration stated that its proposed solutions are "peace, dialogue, solidarity among Syrians, and the creation of a decentralised democratic Syria."
