Protests in Iran enter their 17th day

NEWS CENTER – As protests in Iran enter their 17th day, it has been reported that at least 505 demonstrators have been killed by regime forces and over 10 thousand people have been detained. 

 
The protests, which began on 28 December 2025 in Iran and spread to 31 cities, 186 districts and 585 towns across Iran and Rojhilat, continue on their 17th day. 
 
Despite the Iranian regime's violent response to the protests, the people are not leaving the streets. 
 
According to data shared by the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 505 protesters, including 9 under the age of 18, have been killed and 10 thousand 721 people have been detained during the 17 days of protests.
 
It is reported that 167 of those detained are children and 48 are university students.
