NEWS CENTER - SDF and YPJ forces continue patrol activities on main roads and front lines in Hesekê. Fighters serving on the front said, “Resistance is life, heval; this is our land.”

In Hesekê, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), YPJ, and YPG fighters remain on alert against possible attacks by the Turkish state, ISIS, and HTS groups. Despite harsh weather conditions and heavy snowfall, defensive activities continue without interruption.

In the city center, towns, and villages, local residents are keeping street and neighborhood watches together with SDF and YPG–YPJ fighters, while SDF and YPJ forces are continuously carrying out patrols on front lines and main roads outside the city.

A large part of the front line stretching from Hesekê toward Raqqa has been cleared of groups. Freedom fighters continue efforts to strengthen their positions on the fronts located approximately 20 kilometers from the center of Hesekê.

In footage sent from the front line to Fırat News Agency (ANF), a YPG fighter said: “Our valued people, our YPG–YPJ fighters are currently on the fronts. They are strengthening their positions. 24 January 3am.”

A YPJ fighter said: “We have said it before, and I repeat it here: We are fighting a battle of existence and non-existence for all of Kurdistan, especially Hesekê. Either an honorable life or an honorable death. They say on their own platforms that they will easily enter the cities through special warfare methods. We will not allow this. Until the last Kurdish fighter, or even the last remaining person, we will not allow them passage into Kurdish cities.”

Another YPG fighter said, “Honor is our honor; Hesekê is our Hesekê. Let them come,” while another fighter said, “As children of fire, we will resist until our last drop of blood. This is ground zero. If they fire a single bullet at us, we will respond. Resistance is life, heval; this is our place. The land is our land.”

SDF and YPJ forces continue to maintain a stance of resistance both inside the city and on rural front lines in the face of increasing threats in recent times.
