NEWS CENTER - Ex-Co-Chair of HDP, Selahattin Demirtaş sent a message from prison for the march that his party will initiate tomorrow, as he wrote "Even if you don't support HDP, support my friends, who take the roads for the sake of peace and fellowship".

New messages of Selahattin Demirtaş, ex Co-Chair of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) who is imprisoned in Edirne Type-F Prison, have been shared on his official Twitter account regarding the march that his party will begin tomorrow from Turkey's western province of Edirne and the eastern province of Hakkari to the capital Ankara.

Demirtaş stated, "Hi to you all. HDP sets off in order to bring Edirne and Hakkari together in Ankara around the belief for democracy and peace" as he also sent a photo of him, together with his cell-mate Abdullah Zeydan, who is the an ex HDP MP of İstanbul.

The posts shared on Demirtaş's account is read as follows: "We are passing through a harsh period with many distress. However, I also know that we can overcome all the challenges by joining 82 million hands. See, this event of HDP is a call to join 82 million hands. In this respect, no one should transform this event into a tool for polarization and tension. I have a special request from everyone together with the initiation of this event; even if you don't support HDP, support my friends, who take the roads for the sake of peace and fellowship. We shall not forget that, HDP will be on the road for all the people of Turkey. Do not lend credence to any provocators, who only have the aim of agitation and causing a scene and tension. Godspeed to all my friends. Good luck to Turkey for an open path. Godspeed to the peace. I send my warm greetings to all my fellows from Edirne to Hakkari."
