URFA - The democracy march initiated by HDP was welcomed warmly in Urfa.

 

The Hakkari branch of the "Democracy march" initiated by the People's Democratic Party (HDP) was welcomed in Urfa. The group welcomed with flowers at Siverek district entry, was greeted with victory signs.

 

Later, they were greeted with flowers by the people of Urfa at the highway entrance of Urfa's central Karaköprü district at 10 kilometers, despite all the obstacles of the police and gendarmerie.

 

The deputies among the marchers who met the people at the gas station at the highway, gave the flowers to  HDP Urfa Provincial Co-chair Emine Çetiner, Mardin MP Pero Dündar. Dündar then greeted the public.

 

The group who reached the city center were farewlled to Antep with the slogan 'HDP is the people, people are here' and 'Bijî Berxwedana HDP ê'

 

It was learned that the citizens of Siverek, Birecik, Ceylanpınar and Halfeti districts, who took action to meet the Democracy marchers, were not allowed to leave the district buildings by the police.
