DİYARBAKIR -  TJA activist Rojbin Çetin, who was detained within the scope of the investigation against the DTK, was subjected to torture.

 

Within the scope of the investigation against the Democratic Society Congress (DTK), 44 people, including the co-mayor of Silvan Municipality Naşide Toprak, journalist Ayşe Kara, Rosa Women's Association activists and lawyers, were detained during house raids yesterday.

 

One of the names detained yesterday evening as part of the investigation was Rojbin Çetin, a member of the Democratic Local Authorities Board and Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA).

Çekin who was taken to Provincial Security Directorate turned out to be tortured by the police. 

 

While no information was obtained weather Çetin was tortured at her house or at the police station, HDP Group Vice President Meral Danış Beştaş and HDP Women's Spokesperson Ayşe Acar Başaran will hold a press release at the Local Administrations Office.
