MARDİN – It turned out that Kurdish workers who returned to their villages after the attack they suffered in Sakarya and were quarantined for coronavirus as a village, just before the visit of the Kurdistani Alliance delegation 4 days ago, were not even tested. The villagers said that what happened was a continuation of the attack in Sakarya.

The villages of the workers attacked in Sakarya was quarantined right after their return from Sakarya by the Mazıdağı District Governorship District Hygiene Board on September 7. Within the scope of the decision taken before the visit of the components of the Kurdistani Alliance, it was stated that "Since it was understood that the circulation of seasonal agricultural workers is intense and that these workers came to the settlements without complying with the quarantine rules, the village will be in lock down for 7 days starting from 06.09.2020, at 20.00 PM."

Following the decision, before the visit of the Kurdistan Alliance delegation, the village was blockaded by hundreds of gendarmes and armored vehicles, while the delegation was not allowed to enter. The gendermerie told that the villages will be checked and tested for coronavirus. But it was revealed today that not one single person from the village was checked or tested.

One of the Kurdish workers attacked in Sakarya, Mehdin Demir told that no one was tested in the village, the only things arrived at the village was the boxes that have tomato paste and pasta in it. Stating that due to the lock down they can not do their work in the cityü Demir said not one single person was tested in the village.

Stating that they are in total lock down and there is nothing they can do, Demir said: "We are prisoners in our own village and their attackers are released. What happens here is the continuation of the attack in Sakarya. Its like they're saying that we will accept what happened to us and shut up about it."
