DİYARBAKIR - MEBYA- DERreacted to the fact that the bodies of the people who lost their lives aren't being delivered to their families. Ayşe Tutmaz, the sister of PKK member Seyfettin Tutmaz, who died in the 1990s said her brother's body is missing and said: "Let them have a grave."

 

MEBYA-DER (Association of the Bereaved in the Cradle of Mesopotamia) made a statement at the Mardin Kapı Asri Cemetery in Diyarbakır's Yenişehir district regarding the bodies of those who lost their lives on different dates are not given to their families. Speaking at the event MEBYA-DER Co-chair Yüksel Almas reminded that Agit İpek's body was sent by cargo and told that this is unacceptable.

 

Reminding that Servet Turgut and Osman Şiban, who lost their lives in Van, were thrown out of helicopters, Almas said that the bodies were lost in the 90s, and today people are publicly thrown from helicopters. 

 

'WE WANT THEIR BONES BACK' 

 

Ayşe Tutmaz, the sister of PKK member Seyfettin Tutmaz, who died in the 1990s said that despite their search, they could not reach her brother's body for years. Tutmaz stated that his family gave blood samples for DNA testing, but the authorities did not inform the family. Tutmaz said, “We want my brother's body, his bones. We want to have a grave to visit."
