MARDİN - TJA Spokesperson Ayşe Gökkan who was detained withing the scope of an investigation launched in Mardin, has been detained 83 times so far, there are more than 200 investigations against her.

 

Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) Spokesperson Ayşe Gökkan was detained at her home on October 30 as part of an investigation launched in Mardin. Gökkan, who was taken into custody with 13 people due to an investigation opened in 2014, was taken from Diyarbakır to Mardin, and a 4-day detention order was taken. In the news reported by Jinnews about Gökkan, who has been detained for 83 times so far, it was stated that there have been 5 separate investigations against Gökkan in different cities in the last 5 years with the allegation of "membership of a terrorist organization".

 

In addition, there are 200 investigation files belonging to the period when Gökkan was the Mayor of Nusaybin. Gökkan, who has been involved in many political activities until today and was elected as the Term Spokesperson at the last congress of TJA, was also detained on June 14 as part of the investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in 2017 and was arrested by the court on June 24. Gökkan was released in the second hearing held on 27 November 2017.
