DİYARBAKIR - 5 people including Sur Municipality Co-Mayor Cemal Özdemir was taken into custody.
A police raid was carried out on numerous houses early this morning in Diyarbakır. Sur Municipality Co-Mayor Cemal Özdemir who was dismissed from office and replaced by a trustee was detained. Sevgül Tekin, who was also dismissed with a law decree was also detained as well as Osman Balta, Cevat İnan and Hayrettin Karayılan.
People detained were taken to Provincial Security Directorate. The reason of their detention remains unknown.
