ISTANBUL - Murat Budak, father of Vatan Budak, who lost his life in the Suruç Massacre, reacted to the Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, who linked the end of the solution process to the massacres of ISIS, said, "They should not look for the murderers elsewhere."

The Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, who answered the questions of the opposition deputies during the 2021 budget negotiations of the Ministry of National Defense (MSB) in the Parliamentary Planning and Budget Commission, said that the solution process ended with the massacres carried out by ISIS such as the Ankara, Suruç Antep and İstanbul Airport bombings.

Vatan Budak's father Murat Budak, who died in the Suruç Massacre, stated that the Minister's statements were aimed at changing the agenda and said, “Suruç, Ankara and the other massacres are not only known by us, but the whole world. He recently said, "If we were to speak about the fight against terrorism, many people will be implicated." He was the most authoritative person at that time. Do not look for the murderers elsewhere. The killers are themselves. It is proved with documents."

Stating that the massacres started with the end of the solution process, Budak said, “These are things that are within the knowledge of Ahmet Davutoğlu (Prime Minister of the time), Tayyip Erdoğan and Hulusi Akar. Because as a result of the researches, it became clear that all the massacres were directed by the MİT. After the Suruç Massacre, a person who was the MIT undersecretary said, "Such massacres cannot be carried out without the knowledge of the state." That's why they shouldn't look for murderers elsewhere. "We all know well those who directed them."

Koray Türkay, who survived the Suruç Massacre injured, recalled President Erdogan's words before the June 7 elections, "Give me 400 seats in the parliament and let this matter be resolved in peace," and said, "This statement actually paved the way for the attacks. Many things were found out after these massacres like MIT members are also involved in the organizations of these attacks. The fact that those who carried out these attacks were being followed since 2012, and there were 85 investigations opened against them clearly shows that the state has a part in these massacres."

Türkay said: "What did Russia do when Turkey crashed their plane? It announced the oil cooperation of the Erdoğan family with ISIS to the whole world. Why did Putin sit on this information before that, what was he given? Answering these questions clearly shows what actually happened. We see that Erdoğan was responsible for these attacks. I don't know if Hulusi Akar is also referring to Erdoğan. But it is true that with the end of the solution process an attack was started against the Kurdish people and the democratization of Turkey. You do not need to dig deep to find out who was responsible for these massacres. When Erdoğan couldn't get what he wanted in June 7 elections, the bombings started with the HDP rally in Amed."

Stating that these massacres will be enlightened one day, Türkay said: "The prime minister of the time also says similar things. He says he wasn't guilty, he was instructed by Erdoğan. He is trying to get away with it by implicating other people. The facts will be revealed one day."
