NEWS CENTER - Many people were detained within the scope of political genocide operations carried out simultaneously in many cities. Those detained in the raids were beaten with gun butts.

DİYARBAKIR
 
Police raided a number of houses in Amed in the morning. While armored vehicles were positioned at the entrances of the houses, police broke the doors and entered the houses. Following the house searches, Aziz Yağmur and Mehmet Yalçın, members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Architects Diyarbakır Branch, were detained.
 
It is reported that during the raid on Aziz Yağmur's house, the police broke the door and entered, then laid 4 people in the house face down in a room and pointed a gun at their head, while Ümit Akbıyık was beaten with a gun butt. It is stated that the police stepped on the back of Çeko Mimkara and Yağmur's brothers Mehmet and Furkan Yağmur, insulted and threaten them while kicking them. It was stated that all the household objects were smashed, and the police seized phones and books.
 
Ümit Akbıyık and Çeko Mimkara applied to the hospital to get a medical report. While it is informed that the number of detentions in the city could increase, no information was obtained about the reason of the detentions.
 
Those detained were taken to the Diyarbakır Police Department.
 
SİİRT
 
In Siirt, a large number of armoured vehicles and special operations police raided the house of Cemile Altan, a member of the Provincial Assembly, in the morning. Altan was detained and taken to the Siirt Provincial Security Directorate after the search made at home.
 
VAN
 
Several houses were raided simultaneously in the morning hours in Van. Deniz Adar Eldemir, Dilaver Eldemir, Ferhat Azan and Arjîn Tuncer were detained in the raids. It is reported that Ferhat Eldemir was also detained in Elazığ as part of the same investigation.
 
MARDIN
 
Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Kızıltepe District co-chair, Mahmut Damar was detained in Mardin's Kızıltepe district by police raids at his home in the morning. Damar was taken to the District Police Department after a search in his home. The reason for his detention remains unknown.
 
ŞIRNAK
 
HDP former district administrator Hüsnü Babat was detained in a house raid in Şırnak's İdil district in the morning. Babat was taken to the District Police Department. Reason for his detention remains unknown.
 
IZMIR
 
House raids were carried out in many districts of Izmir in the morning. Digital materials such as computers and phones were confiscated during home searches.
 
The names of those detained with the allegations of "membership of an illegal organization" and " propaganda for an illegal organisation" are as follows; Zerga Öztürk, Fadime Kocakaya, Zuhal Çelebi, Gift Tekin and Muteber Akgül.
 
In the meantime, it is maintained that a 24-hour lawyer opinion restriction was imposed on those detained.
 
ANKARA
 
Many people, including members of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Youth Assembly and former Party Assembly members, were detained in house raids in Ankara.
 
The detainees were taken to the Provincial Security Directorate after health checks. The names of those detained are as follows: Former HDP PA member Erol Çiftçi, METU student Peoples' Democratic Congress member Tunahan Gözlügöl, HDP Youth Assembly members Nevroz Gülen, Mesut Çiftçi, Ezgi Orak and 73-year-old Mahmut Altan with chronic diseases.
 
In its statement, Ankara Police Department claimed that 10 people were detained on the grounds of "making propaganda for an organization" in their posts on their social media accounts.
 
Gözlügöl, one of the detainees, was previously wanted to be detained by the police. Gözlügöl shared his experiences at a press conference.
