HAKKARİ -HDP Hakkari MP Sait Dede who stated that the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan must be removed at once, said: "The continued isolation must be removed and Öcalan must be free so that he can solve the problems."

The hunger strike the prisoners started on November 27, demanding the removal of the continued isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on its 18th day.

Speaking about the ongoing hunger strikes, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari MP Sait Dede said the isolation must be removed at once.

Pointing out that Öcalan has the power to solve the problems experienced in teh Middle East, Dede said: "The continued isolation must be removed and Öcalan must be free so that he can solve the problems. In such an environment, the solution will affect the entire region. It will effect Rojava, Bashur, labourers and workers. The way to solution will be open."

'ISOLATION IS EVERYWHERE'

Explaining that the ongoing isolation effects the society deeply, Dede said everyone who supports law, democracy and constitutional rights should support the removal of the isolation. Noting that the isolation is not only the problem of the prisoners, but it effects everyone living in the Middle East, Dede said: "The unlawfulness in İmralı spreads everywhere. The prisoners can not even practice their most basic human rights. They are being mistreated, abused, given disciplinary punishments. The isolation spreads all aspects of life."

'EVERYONE SHOULD STAND AGAINST IT'

Stating that the system in İmralı is unprecedented, Dede said: "Mr. Öcalan is not an ordinary person. He is the voice and the will of millions. Mr. Öcalan being able to be heard will relieve the Middle Easterns, it will start a new process. Everyone should stand against this unlawfulness.

SOLUTION PROCESS

Explaining that the people were able to breathe during the solution process, Dede said: "There weren't serious problems during the time the negotiations continued.but with the end of the solution process, people started to be slaughtered. Many were displaced and had to be migrants.Economic crisis started to get worse. We will not be able to get rid of this crisis unless the isolation is removed. Turkey wouldn't have to spend money on war if the isolation was removed and there no longer was a 'Kurdish question'. The crisis will continue as long as the Kurdish question stays unsolved. The addressee of the Kurdish question is obviously Mr. Öcalan. Ignoring this problem won't make it dissappear. Mr. Öcalan should participate in the negotiations. And for that, the isolation must be removed."
