AFYON – 16 year old Ş.C.K who was beaten by his boss for asking for his daily wage. Mother Tülay Taşpınar criticizing the fact that the prosecutor demanded prison time for his beaten son asked, "Where is the justice in this dindictment?"

An indictment was prepared for the incident of 16 year old Ş.C.K being beaten by his bosses Akif A. and A.S for 5 hours on March 7 for asking for his daily wage.

According to the allegations, Ş.C.K called his bosses to ask for the 200 Liras he earned but the bosses tried to make him work for a daily wage. After a discussion broke between the bosses and Ş.C.K, the bosses locked the child in the store and tortured him for 5 hours with sticks and iron bars. Ş.C.K who was tortured naked for 5 hours wanted to go to the bathroom and he fleed from the store when he found the opportunity. The child took shelter in a housing complex, asking for the help of the security guard and was taken to Afyonkarahisar State Hospital with an ambulance.

ONE OF THE PERPETRATORS WAS ARRESTED

According to the medical report, Ş.C.K suffered from broken bones in his head, fractures in his arms, bruises due to beating with iron bars and sticks in his back. Giving their statements to the police after being detained, Akif A. and A.S told that the 4 thousand Liras in their car went missing that they and they have beaten Ş.C.K, claiming that they found the money on him.

Being referred to court, Akif A. was arrested while A.S was released on the condition of judicial control. The prosecutor demanded a prison sentence of 4 years up to 14 years for depriving the person of his liberty by using force.

ANOTHER INDICTMENT PREPARED FOR THE CHILD

Another investigation was launched against the child for theft following the criminal complaint, filed by the perpetrator, Akif A.

In the indictment, Ş.C.K is accused of  'theft at night by opening the lock with an unfairly held key' and 'attempting to injure the complainant with a simple gun' by trying to beat the complainant with a fish box. The prosecutor demanded Ş.C.K to be sentenced to 2 to 6 years in prison.

Ş.C.K's mother Tülay Taşpınar and father Özcan Kahvecigil protested the indictment prepared against their son.

'WHERE IS THE JUSTICE IN THIS INDICTMENT?'

Explaining that her son was traumatized and sexually abused that night and has night terrors due to the trauma, mother Tülay Taşpınar said the theft accusation against their son is merely slender. Taşpınar said: "They battered my son to death. They tortured my son for 5 hours after they removed all of his clothes. Now they want to send him to prison? Where is the justice in this indictment?"

'WE WANT JUSTICE'

Underlining that his son wakes up screaming at night, pleading to someone not to hit him, father Özkan Kahvecigil demanded those who harmed his child to be punished.

Asking those who prepared the indictment if they would prepare this particular indictment if the same thing had happened to their child, Kahvecigil said: "We want justice. They want our child to be imprisoned when one of the perpetrators who tortured my son walks free. Where is the justice in it?"
