Thousands are in Cudi against war and plunder

SIRNAK - Thousands of people gathered in Şırnak for the Cudi Rally against "Destruction of War and Plundering of Nature".
 
A large rally is being held towards Cudi Mountain in Şırnak, led by the Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Free Women's Movement (TJA), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Mesopotamia Ecology Movement. The rally, held with the slogan "We are marching against the destruction of war and the plundering of the nature", first set off from the cities of Serhat. Scores gathered in Van united with the column in Gercüş district of Batman.

Hundreds of people from Turkey's metropols and Diyarbakır, including DTK Co-chair Berdan Öztürk, DBP Co-Chairs Saliha Aydeniz and Keskin Bayındır, as well as representatives of non-governmental organisations, met in Batman. The crowd which met at the entrance of the city, united with the column from Serhat in Gercüş and moved towards the İdil district of Şırnak. The crowd was allowed to pass after a security check.
 
Hundreds of people from Urfa, Antep, Adana, Mersin and Mardin, including HDP Spokesperson Ebru Günay, gathered in Nusaybin. This column set off towards Cizre and joined the other column on the Cizre bypass. Then crowd went to the Milga Construction site to join the rally in Cudi by vehicles.
