An armed attack took place on the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center in the Saint Denis neighborhood of Strasbourg in Paris, the capital of France. Eyewitnesses speaking to Medya Haber TV reported that the person who was left with a car on the street where the association is located, scanned the association. Witnesses stated that after the attack, fire was also opened on Kurdish workplaces in the neighbourhood.
 
While the police surround the association, they do not allow anyone to enter the area. One person was detained in connection with the attack.
 
It was noteworthy that the attack coincided with the 10th anniversary of the murder of three Kurdish women revolutionaries on January 9, 2013. It was learned that a meeting was held at the Cultural Center for the preparation meeting to protest the January 9 attack.
 
In a statement to BFMTV, the Paris Prosecutor's Office said: "An investigation has been launched into crimes of murder, willful murder and aggravated violence. A 69-year-old man has been detained."

Visiting a police station in Tourcoing, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin announced that he would go to the scene in Paris.
 
Speaking to BFMTV, Interior Minister Darmanin said that he would go to Paris. Darmanin shared the following message on Twitter: "After the dramatic attack that took place this morning, I am returning to Paris and going to the scene."

The crowd, gathered at the place where the attack took place, shouted the slogans of "Killer Erdogan", "Martyries can not be died" and "Long live Öcalan".

Speaking to Medya Haber TV, KCK Executive Council Member Zübeyir Aydar stated that the attack was planned in Ankara and said: "It doesn't matter who you are. This attack is similar to how our friends Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez were murdered 10 years ago. The Turkish state is nationalizing the problem.
Turkey is carrying its attacks in Rojava into the South to Europe."
