DİYARBAKIR- Journalist İrfan Uçar, who lost 6 relatives in the earthquake, quoted his observations in Antakya and Antep and said: "Those people died screaming, villages were left to their fate, there is no help, this is a crime against the people."

One of the settlements most affected by the two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 in Maraş is İslahiye district of Dîlok. In the district and its villages, where almost one of the two buildings was destroyed, people lost their lives screaming. Journalist İrfan Uçar, who lost 6 of his relatives in the central district of Hatay, Antakya, and many villagers in İslahiye, shared his observations in both regions with our agency.

'MY COUSIN CALLED BUT NO ONE REACHED'

Explaining that he set out from Istanbul right after the earthquake, Uçar said: "First I stopped by the village, most of the houses were under rubble at that time, then I went to Antakya and took the bodies of 6 members of my family, and now I'm on my way back. My two uncles' daughters were in two separate houses, we shared their address on social media. We went to Antakya, there is no telephone reception, there is no electricity, no internet, in some places there is very little telephone reception. We want to share on social media stating 'Can the teams reach this address, but we can't?' but they slow down Twitter and block it. In other words, the state pulled the plug on Twitter when the communication between people is the most intense. This is a very big crime, a crime against the people. Shout out, those people lost their lives. Her child was dead, my cousin called out, but no one came because no one was there.”
