DİYARBAKIR - HDP Diyarbakır Provincial Organization, which is trying to solve the housing problem of thousands of homeless people in Diyarbakır, where damage assessment is ongoing, launched the "My Home is Your Home" campaign and called on the people to open your door to earthquake victims.

 

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Amed Provincial Organization launched the "My Home is Your Home" campaign to solve the housing problem that arose after the Maraş which is epicenter of earthquake and against exorbitant rent increases. Calling on the people of the city to open their doors to earthquake victims and to strengthen the solidarity network, HDP stated that "together we will succeed".

The announcement regarding the campaign made on the Twitter of HDP as following: "Diyarbakır has always managed to heal its own wounds with solidarity. We are deeply saddened by the rumors about exorbitant rent increases due to the earthquake. Our duty should be to overcome these difficult days together, to strengthen our unity and to maintain our stance on the side of the oppressed, by saying 'My home is your home'. We will succeed together.”

HDP Provincial Co-chair Gülistan Atasoy also expressed the following about the campaign on her Twitter account: “We call on our people to stand up for our social values, against those who take advantage of pain and grievances and exploit them.”
