Prisoner living with platinum on his back paralyzed

ŞIRNAK - The patient prisoner Önder Poyraz, who has a platinum on his back and is put in a cell despite having only one kidney, cannot meet his needs because his right hand is paralyzed.

 
Önder Poyraz, a ill prisoner who was sentenced to 2 times aggravated life imprisonment, was arrested on charges of "being a member of a terrorist organization" and "disrupting the unity and integrity of the state" after being taken into custody in an injured manner after the curfew announced in 2015 in the Cizîr (Cizre) district of Şırnak, He is fighting for his life in prison. Poyraz, who was imprisoned in Erzurum Dumlu High Security Prison No. 2, was seriously injured as a result of the attacks of the state forces. Poyraz, who lives with a platinum on his back, damaged many of his organs due to the bullet hit. In addition, Poyraz, who lives with a single kidney, said in a phone call with his family that his right hand was paralyzed and he could not even meet his needs on his own.
 
POYRAZ WHO HAS ONE HAND IS IN CELL
 
Stating that her husband was held in a solitary cell, Firdevs Poyraz said: "He could not even meet his personal needs at the last stage. My husband was taken to the hospital by ambulance due to his illness on March 7, but was taken back to the prison without treatment because his right arm is paralyzed, he cannot lift even small things. In 2015, they removed the bullet that hit his back, but all his internal organs were damaged. He lives with one kidney. It has platinum all over the back. The last time I went to visit my husband was 4 months ago.”
 
PRISON PREVENTS TREATMENT
 
Stating that her husband demanded treatment, but the prison administration prevented it, Poyraz said: “They persecute the prisoners. My husband cannot eat because of her illness. They can only eat fruit, but they don't produce fruit either. Everything is so expensive there that the money we send does not meet his needs.”
 
'IT SHOULD CARE FOR THE PRISONERS'
 
Calling for solidarity to improve prison conditions and ensure a fair trial process, Poyraz said: “Everyone should take care of the prisoners. We want the whole public to show solidarity with the prisoners.”
