Tarık Ziya Ekinci to be buried in Amed

ISTANBUL - Tarık Ziya Ekinci, who lost his life, will be sent off to his last journey in Amed on August 18 after the funeral ceremony to be held tomorrow. 

Historian Dr. Tarık Ziya Ekinci, who dedicated his life to the struggle for freedom, democracy and equality, died yesterday morning at his home in Istanbul. A funeral ceremony will be held for Ekinci tomorrow at Şakirin Mosque in Üsküdar and then the body will be sent off to Amed. Ekinci's body will be buried in his hometown Amed on August 18th upon his will. It is learned that the body will be buried in Şehitlik Cemetery in Yenişehir district.
