According to Iraq's Al-Ahed channel, citing a private source, the Shiite Coordination Framework held a meeting with the participation of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Sudani and Hashd al-Shaabi leader Falih Feyaz. During the meeting, a statement was made regarding the “security agreement” signed between Turkey and Iraq. 

 

“We will not allow Iraq to become an umbrella for Turkey's illegal military presence on Iraqi soil,” the Coordination’s statement said. The statement also emphasized the necessity of protecting Iraq's sovereignty and opposing any foreign intervention that jeopardizes national security.

 

THE AGREEMENT ILLEGAL!

 

Noting that Iraq's territorial integrity and sovereignty rights must be respected, the statement said that a date must be set for Turkey's withdrawal from Iraq and added the following: “The Coordination strongly rejects Turkey's establishment of a security center within Iraqi borders and the occupying Turkish forces taking control of some areas. Turkish troops must act in accordance with the decisions of the Iraqi judiciary. This agreement between Iraq and Turkey must be clear and unambiguous and this cooperation must not be allowed to become a cover for supporting the illegal presence of the Turkish army.”
