ANKARA- Speaking in Parliament Peace Mother Emine Eren pointed to the goverments's discussions on the solution and said: “If you want peace, give a hand to İmralı. Mr. Ocalan holds the key to peace.”
Attenting the women's group meeting organized by the Peoples' Equality and Demokcracy Party (DEM Parti) in Parliament, member of the Peace Mothers Initiative Emine Eren took the floor after Hatimoğulları's speech. Emine Eren said that they are struggling for peace and justice.
Emine Eren said: "We are against all kinds of injustice and we will be where wee see injustice. We condemn violence against women. As mothers, we will be on the streets and squares against harassment, rape and massacres.”
MASSACRES OF WOMEN INCREASED
Reffering to the discussions on the solution of the Kurdish issue Emine Eren said: "We have always wanted peace. You make promises of peace but you deceive us. As long as there is no peace in this country, there will be deaths. Since you have been a partner, the massacres of women have increased. This is happening because of you. The death of children has increased. You appoint trustees.”
Pointing to the “Peace” rhetoric of AKP-MHP supporters, Emine Eren continued as follows: "We want equality adn peace. Without peace and freedom in this country, neither Kurds nor Turks will be free. The key to peace is in İmralı. Mr. Öcalan holds the key to peace. As long as Mr. Öcalan is not free, as long as the Kurdish people is not free, the Turkish people will not be free. Come, give your hand to the Kurds. If peace does not come, massacres will increase, injustices will increase."
