ISTANBUL - The indictment prepared against imprisoned journalist Reyhan Hacıoğlu draws attention to the fact that her journalistic activities are accused in the indictment.
Reyhan Hacıoğlu was detained in house raids on January 17 within the scope of an Istanbul-based investigation and arrested on January 20 on charges of "terrorist organizaiton membership" and she sent to Van Type T Closed Prison.
In the 46-page indictment prepared by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the history and organizational structure of PKK/KCK is explained.
Reyhan Hacıoğlu's programme "Haftanın Politiği" (Politics of the Week) content, including violations in prisons, violence against women, isolation of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, detention and arrest operations against journalists, was also included in the indictment. The indictment also includes the transcripts of the evaluations made by Reyhan Hacıoğlu's guests in the programmes. In the indictment, the magazine Demokratik Modernite (Democratic Modernity) was also charged.
