ANKARA- CTU President Hasan Bektaş, said the train accident occured because there is no signal system in the train route. 

 

9 people lost their lives including the 3 machinists due to the High Speed Train crash in Ankara. Combined Transport Union President (CTU) Hasan Bektaş evaluated the accident.

 

Bektaş: " This route is used by both Kayaş- Sincan suburban line and the high speed train. This line was opened to traffic before the signalization system is ready.

 

Bektaş drawing attention to the fact that the train managership is being done by radios, said: "The incident happened due to the primitive radio use. A misunderstanding caused the accident. If there was a working signal system, this would not happen."
