MARAŞ- A.Ç who made an official complaint through CİMER about the sexual assault attempt of the neice of an AKP deputy, was responded by saying 'No need to dramatize this'. Ç who says she will struggle for him to be punished, expects the support of the women's organizations.

 

 

A.Ç who lives in Maraş was and are  family friends of AKP Maraş Deputy İmran Kılıç, was imposed to the attempt of sexual assault of Kılıç's neice Süleyman Tekçe on Novermber 26, 2018. A.Ç. applied to the prosecution's office, police and the Ministry of Family and Social Policies helpline 183 and to the Presidential Communication Center (CİMER) 3 days after the attack.

 

 

At the result of the persistant attempts and criminal complaints of A.Ç and her family, Maraş Chief Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment about Tekçe on charges of Sexual assault attempt,threat and depriving people of their freedom. Maraş 5th Criminal Court who accepted the indictment set the court date to March 13,2019. A.Ç who stated that she will do all that in her power to get Tekçe the severest punishment, said: "He will do it to another women if he is not severely punished."

 

Husband M.Ç who went to the Maraş Governership for a meeting but they did not allow him to see the governor, said they called the help line of Family and Social Policies Ministry and they came and they gave their depositions. M.Ç who said the prosecutor summoned them after the deposition, said:" The prosecutor told us that he will be released by the court pending trial. Then my wife called CİMER. The officer of the governership summoned my wife to talk. We went there together but they insisted to see my wife alone. He told my wife 'I have seen another neice of the deputy. It turned out that your assailant is not his neice. He wasn't even a relative. They told us to let it go, to consider this an accident and that working women are exposed to these kind of harrassments and there is no need to dramatize this."

 

 

 

M.Ç who stated that the prosecutor's office prepared the indictment after a month and a half, said Tekçe's deputy uncle called them and said he will have nothing to do with this case. M.Ç said that the fact that they can not proceed with the case and every door closes to them about this shows that he actually is involved. A.Ç and M.Ç said they will struggle for this person to be punished severely and they will do their best.
