İSTANBUL- Melda Onur from CHP who said the strategy of HDP have worked regarding the elections, said: "Social democratic mayorship has a test ahead. The multipal structure established in the municipalities must be kept in the upcoming 4 years. This party came with municipalities and hopefully will go the same way."

 

 

The 31 march election process have come to an end, opening a new door to a new process.The schemer of the election, People's Democratic Party (HDP) have made AKP lost many cities in the east and in the west including Ankara and İstanbul.

 

Former Republican People's Party (CHP) Deputy Melda Onur evaluated the results for Mezopotamya Agency (MA).

 

 

Onur said: "I believed that their strategy would work but I was worried they wouldn't let us win anyway. The fact that Ekrem worked so hard on this and never gave up was a surprise. He had done an admirable job from the beginning to the end. He never stopped briefing his voters and spoiled their  game. He kept it together, he followed up on the process and he did his job with tranquility and grace. That was important. AKP has suffered serious costs. The speech of the President made it clear. He threatened us in his speech a little. He said he didn't care if we have won and that he will make things harder for us all the way. And he porbably will. That doen't aggrandize him, it makes him sink a little more deeper. It looks like we are facing a hard time regarding the municipalities."
