DİYARBAKIR- The hunger strike Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven started with the demand of the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan have left behind 146 days.

 

The hunger strike Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven started in Diyarbakır Type E Closed Prison on November 8, with the demand of the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan have left behind 146 days.

 

Leyla Güven is being visited by deputies, politicans,non governmental organizations, represantatives of youth organizations on a daily basis.

 

The hunger strike of  HDP represantative Nasır Yağız in Federal Kurdistan District is on its 133Rd day, the hunger strikes of the politicians and journalists in Strasburg and imam Şiş from Galler is on their 108th day while the hunger strike of the first group of the political prisoners are on their 109th day. Meanwhile, on March 1, all of the PKK PJAK prisoners in all of the prisons in Turkey joined the hunger strikes.

 

The hunger strikes of deputy Dersim Dağ, Tayip Temel and Murat Sarısaç are continuing in HDP Diyarbakır District Building.

 

Meanwhile, the released prisoners on hunger strike, Sedat Akın , Gurbet Ektiren, İhsan Sinmiş, Fahri Karabay and Sinan Erkılıç are continuing their hunger strikes at home, like Leyla Güven.

 

THEY ENDED THEIR LIFE PROTESTING THE ISOLATION

 

Medya Çınar (24) lost her life on March 25 in Mardin Type E closed Prison, Zülküf Gezen (33) lost his life on March 17 in Tekirdağ No 2 Type F Prison, Ayten Beçet (24) lost her life on March 23 in Gebze WOmen's Closed Prison, Zehra Sağlam (23) lost her lifein March 24 in Oltu Type T Closed Prison, protesting the isolation.

 

UğUr Şakar who set his body on fire in Germany, Krefeld on February 20, lost his life on March 22 in the hospital he was being trated in.
