DİYARBAKIR- The elected HDP Co-mayors of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipalities and the Co-mayors of 4 districts of Diyarbakır will apply to the Provincial Election Board to get their mandates. Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı said that they are expecting that the double standart applied on HDP to be over, when the Provincial Election Board did not give the elected mayors their mandates.
People's Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayors Selçuk Mızraklı and Hülya Alökmen Uyanık, Yenişehir Municipality Co-Mayors Belgin Diken and İbrahim Çiçek, Kayapınar Municipality Co-Mayors Necati Pirinççioğlu and Keziban Yılmaz and Bağlar Municipality Co-Mayors Zeyyat Ceylan and Zübeyde Zümrüt, Sur Municipality Co-mayors Filiz BUluttekin and Cemal Özdemir, and the Aldermens will apply to Provincial Election Board.
The elected HDP mayors have made a press statement in front of the Provincial Election Board that is blockaded by the police after submitting their petitions. Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı, stating that even though the electoral process have ended, YSK is delaying the statement they should have made by now regarding the election results, said the reason for the delay is being kept from the public.
The elected mayors that were not presented with their mandates, left the Provincial Election Board after the statement.
