DERSİM - Mother Şerife Kılıç who visited her son Barış Kılıç who is on hunger strike a week ago, stating that his son have not lost anything but weight, said they looked stronger than everyone out there.

BARIŞ KILIÇ 127 DAYS
Kılıç who was sentenced to aggravated life in prison in 1994 is incarcerated for 25 years now. Kılıç who is amongst the first group to join the hunger strike Güven initiated is on hunger strike for 127 days now. Mother Şerife Kılıç who visited her son on April 15, spoke about the concerns of the families, the hunger strikes and the practices in prisons.
Mother Kılıç who stated that hunger strikers are brought to visitation rooms by the guards on purpose, said they were so strong and determined. Kılıç said: "Their faith in the victory of their action is unbreakable. They told that their faith keep them strong." Mother Kılıç who stated that the vitamins of the hunger strikers are not being given regularly, said the pressure on the visiters of the hunger strikers are increasing and that they are being forced to be searched more than 10 times.
Mother Kılıç, stating that they can not function while their children are hungry, called on to the authorities as a mother for their demand to be met." Kılıç who added that isolation is a torture, said the demand of their children is the normalization of Turkey and applying their own laws. Kılıç ended her words by saying: "These hunger strikes are a step towards peace. Their only demand is freedom and democracy. They never gave this demand up. Now they are on hunger strike to make Turkey apply their own laws, abide by their own rules. Pressure authoritiy never made Turkey gain anything, and it never will. The demands of our children must be met at once and the isolation must be terminated."
