DUHOK - In the operation launched by the TSK against the Federated Kurdistan Region, civilian life and property losses are increasing day by day. Calling the live programs of the radios broadcasting in the region, people are condemning the silence of the government and made a call for protection.

 

 

The “claw” operation launched by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) on the 27th of May in Federated Kurdistan region causes loss of lives and property of the civilian population. KDP administration's support to the operation caused reactions, while the public is trying to make a voice. People reacting to the increased loss of life and property in the region are also reactive against the the ruling parties and the media black out. Calling on to the Regional Government to protect themselves by calling the radio programs, people of the region are trying to be heard.

 

Most recently, in the Kortek area of ??the Binari Kandil region, two civilians were shot, three civilians were killed and five civilians were injured in the bombing of TSK fighter planes and the people living in the region expressed their reaction by calling non-related radio programs. A person named Ismail from Zergelê village of Binari Qandil region, called the live program called “Namekatan Gihiştin where the social problems in Hewler was being discussed at Rudaw Radio and told about their experiences.

Ismail, who was connected to the live broadcast, stated that many civilians lost their lives as a result of intense air strikes, gardens were turned to ashes and animals lost their lives. Ismail who stated that they are being censored by the regional press,said: "Although there are many agencies broadcasting in Kurdish in Hewler and Suleymaniye, none of them are talking abou the civillians being killed as a result of those bombs. 

 

 

Noting that the Regional Government has not condemned the attacks, İsmail said: “The territory of Bashur Kurdistan is occupied by the Turkish state. In spite of this, the parties in Basur Kurdistan, especially KDP, did not make a statement condemning the situation."

 

 

Ismail continued his speech, “We cannot go to our vineyards and gardens due to the bombings made by the Turkish state, and we cannot graze our animals. We were also taking our animals to graze in the bombed mountain of Halgurt and the Kandil mountains at the Iranian border. However, our animals are dying because of the bombings made by the Turkish state.”

 

THERE IS NO PKK HERE

 

 

İsmail stating that there are no PKK guerillas in the area, said: "They can come and investigate. They will see that there are no PKK guerillas here. On the other hand, Kurdistan District government should not let the Turkish state invading our lands and protect their people from occupation."
