DİYARBAKIR - HDP's Hakkari MP Sait Dede, who is also a medical doctor, stated that the killing of Free Burma Rangers member Doctor Zaw Senk being murdered by Syrian National Army is an international crime.

Syrian National Army (SMO) established by Turkey by gathering Salafi organizations together, have targeted a convoy consisting of health care workers from Free Burma Rangers, a non governmental organization, and a Thai Doctor, Saw Senk (37) lost his life in the attack.

The Ministry of Defense (MSB) rejected such an attack in a statement after the incident, while other Free Burma Rangers members in the convoy were directly targeted and the attack on health workers was on the world agenda.

HDP Hakkari MP Sait Dede, who is alo a medical doctor, evaluated the attack.

HDP MP Dede, evaluated the attack which he defines as 'unscrupulousness', as an international crime.

Dede, stating that health care workers have been respected even in the most primitive ages, said that the doctors who devote their lives to the service of humanity and who work in difficult conditions are faced with death today.

Dede stating that the governments have to ensure the life safety of the doctors who work internationally, said that there are different medical ethics principles related to the war or conflict spesific health intervention.

Dede said that health workers should be provided with convenience instead of preventing them from providing medical care. There are rules that are accepted by international institutions and governments. These are; to protect the medical equipment and not harming them, to determine the health facilities on the map during military operations and taking precautions to prevent damage. However, unfortunately, in these battles, we observe that these rules are not paid attention to and everything human are being trivialized.

HDP MP Dede underlined that the attack resulting with the death of Doctor Zenk is caused by the great anger and hate against the structure in North and East Syria.

Dede underlining that the violations of rights still continue in North and East Syria, called on the international health institutions to show solidarity for the emergence and prosecution of the perpetrators in order to clarify the incident with full clarity.
