HDP co-chair Sezai Temelli, spoke at the 3rd Ordinary Congress of the Mersin Provincial Party about the latest developments.

'NOT JUST THE TRUSTEES, THIS GOVERNMENT WILL GO DOWN'

Temelli said: "Not only the trustee, this government will go. Because this government is a government of injustice, oppression, war. Our peoples, women laborers do not want war, violence, persecution. Together we will force this fascism out."

Temelli added: "We are faced with an unlawful order. There is lawlessness and injustice everywhere. The biggest lawlessness in this country is 21 years long, 21 years of isolation. It is not possible to talk about law without ending this isolation. We have repeatedly insisted on this every time we speak. There is no more justice in the courtrooms. A non-independent, biased, judicial act produces constant violence."

The HDP co-chair continued: "We need to name this regime for what it is. This regime is a trustee regime. They can appoint trustees to those buildings. But they cannot appoint trustees to our will, to our cities. We won't accept it. Cities are ours and we will never give up our will."

Temelli then reiterated that in fact the AKP regime is attacking the the co-presidential system. "A system - he said - they are portraying as a crime. The co-presidency system is an example to the world, because it is a system that could pave the way for democracy in the true sense. The co-chair system is equal representation. The co-presidential system is the freedom of life, freedom of women. This fascist mentality, which ignores women, blames the co-presidency system."

THERE IS A NEED FOR A SOLUTION IN SYRIA

Temelli said: "If you do not oppose the war in Syria, you cannot build peace in this country. We have to see that the Syrian Democratic Assembly is the place for a solution.
The solution is that the Syrian people will decide their future together. We have to defend the political solution in Syria."

Temelli ended his remarks by recalling that "the 2020 budget is once again a war budget" and stressed the "need for an Alliance for Democracy in Turkey."
