DİYARBAKIR - A bus belonging to the the riot police that have blockaded HDP Provincial building for more than a year, crushed a citizen, Cihan Can to death.
One of the riot police buses that is used to blockade the People's Democratic Party Provincial building since November 20,2018 in Diyarbakır, crushed a citizen, Cihan Can, a civil engineer to death.
The obtained video shows that Can stays under the bus and was dragged for a long time. The video also shows that the police did not stop the vehicle even though he realized he crushed someone.
The vehicle stopped on the warning of the surrounding citizens. Can who died at the scene, stated by the police, rushed to a private hospital in the city. Can was later taken to Selahattin Eyyübi Hospital for authopsy.
The police blockaded the hospital while the authopsy continued.
Can's family and relatives who heard the incident rushed to the hospital. HDP MP's Dersim Dağ, Nejdet İpekyüz, HDP Diyarbakır Provincial Co-Chair Zeyyat Ceylan and party members also flocked to the hospital.
Can is expected to be buried in Yeniköy Cemetery in Bağlar district after the autopsy is completed.
