ISTANBUL- The 6th hearing of the Gezi Park Trial where Osman Kavala is jailed in Silivri pending trial. The court is expected to announce its decision today.
Within the scope of the indictment prepared for the Gezi Park resistance, the 6th hearing of the trial against 15 defendants including Osman Kavala, who has been imprisoned for 8,140 days has begun at the 30th High Criminal Court in İstanbul. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and CHP deputies, as well as many followers of the trial have been present at the courtroom. Within the scope of the case, aggravated life imprisonment is asked on behalf of Osman Kavala, Mücella Yapıcı and Yiğit Aksakoğlu. For Tayfun Kahraman, Ali Hakan Altınay, Mine Özerden, Can Atalay and Yiğit Al Ekmekçi is asked to be sentenced to prison from 15 years up to 20 years and 7 other defendants' files are requested to be separated.
