A citizen named Mehmet Yaman (52), who was battered by the police in Fatih district of Istanbul on Saturday, February 15, while trying to protect his nephew and his aunt, who have also been the subject of police violence, has been in intensive care for 4 days due to celebral bleeding. At the same time, it was revealed that many ribs of Yaman, who had a stroke from the left as a result of torture, were broken and damaged.

The Yaman family, whom we talked about about the incident, talked about the moments of violence.

TORTURE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET

According to the information we received from the family, Muhammet Yaman (16) left the market of his father to go home, but on his way he was stopped by the police and asked for his identity. As he handed his ID, police asked him why he did not renew his card and began insulting him. As Yaman asks police why they got so angry, police continued on swearing and insulting Yaman, then laid him on the ground and used tear gas. The the police handcuffed Yaman from the rear and continued their torture in the police car.

FIRST TORTURE THAN PROVOCATION IN THE HOSPITAL

As a result of the torture he suffered, various parts of Yaman's body injured, but Yaman was taken into custody and brought to the Fatih District Police Department Children's Office. As the police had filed a criminal complaint against Yaman, whom they tortured, the Yaman family stated that they had received a battering report from Haseki State Hospital.

Mother Güler Yaman and uncle Mehmet Yaman went to Haseki Public Hospital as soon as they heard the incident. Yaman family states that they reacted to the police saying that "How can you do this to a kid?" As the police hits mother Güler Duman on the arm with baton, family members reacted.

CELEBRAL BLEEDING AS A RESULT OF TORTURE

According to the information obtained, with the arrival of additional police force, the police continued to increase the dose of torture. Mehmet Yaman, on the other hand, was battered by dozens of police with a batons, kicks, slaps and riffle butts for a long time as he wanted to protect his aunt and nephew. Mehmet Yaman, who fell into a coma as a result of severe torture, was taken to Istanbul University Çapa Medical Faculty. Mehmet Yaman's brother Habip Yaman stated that while his brother was being taken to the hospital, he said, "I throw myself in front in order to protect them."

UNCONSCIOUS FOR 5 DAYS

Having suffered a celebral bleeding upon torture, Mehmet Yaman has been in intensive care for 4 days as he lost his conscious. While the left side of Yaman's body is paralyzed in many places with fractures and bruises, a number of his ribs are also broken and injured.

Even under these circumstance, it was revealed that the police came to the hospital yesterday to get testimony, but the doctors did not accept the demands of the police because the patient's condition was heavy.

The family can see Yaman just for 10 minutes a day.

THEY FILED A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT
