HABER MERKEZİ - Wishing condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives in the earthquake in Başkale yesterday, HDP's imprisoned former Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş also congratulated the new management elected at his party's congress yesterday.
Selahattin Demirtaş, former Co-Chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), who is currently being held prisoner in Edirne Type F Closed Prison tweeted about the Van earhtquake that resulted in 9 people losing their lives and his party's 4th Ordinary Congress.
CALL FOR SOLIDARITY FOR THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE
Demirtaş, who expressed his condolences to the family of those who lost their lives in Başkale said: "Condolences to the people of Başkale about the earthquake and may those who lost their lives rest in peace. I am greeting everyone with the belief that they will show solidarity to those who have faced this disaster in heavy winter conditions."
Demirtaş, along with HDP Hakkari former MP Abdullah Zeydan send a message via his lawyers and said: "We express our heartfelt thanks to all our people, who embraced the 4th Ordinary Congress of HDP with great enthusiasm and determination. We congratulate our Co-Chairs and party management, convey our wishes of success and solidarity, and also express our gratitude to the previous administration. Godspeed HDP!"
