Stating that the system tries to take the woman away from the social arenas and imprison them at home, Toprak said: “The woman is exposed to all kinds of violence, from harassment to rape at home and in the public arenas. If we think of a creating a moral political society, we should know that such a moral political society will not be created before women are liberated. We women will be free, we will liberate society."

'LET'S TAKE TO THE STREETS ON MARCH 8'

Korkmaz, who emphasized that it is necessary to emphasize the meaning and importance of the day gained by struggle by taking to the streets, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder; invited the women to the rally to be held in Batman on March 8.

Kormaz said: "Because the streets are where we live. We should not withdraw ourselves from the streets. We must work more. The more together we are as women, the stronger and organized we are. We can stand against the male dominated system."

'TO THE STREETS AGAINST RAPE, MASSACRES AND HARASSMENT'

Silopi Municipality Co-Mayor Fatma Gündüz emphasized that women will not submit to the male dominated system and said: "This struggle grew from the women who were fighting for their labour, sometimes from women whose dead body stayed out in the street for days, or a women whose body was exposed after her death, and from women who spent their lives behind bars. Because of all these, March 8 is important for revolutionary women.
