Tigris Euphrates Journalists Association (DFG), Mesopotamia Women Journalists Platform and Turkey Journalists' Union (TGS) Diyarbakır Branch will hold a press conference tomorrow to draw attention to the detentions and arrests of journalists. The press conference to be held at TGS Diyarbakır Branch will start at 12.00. The institutions organizing the press conference made a call for the solidarity of their colleagues.

 

8 JOURNALISTS WERE ARRESTED

 

The statement made by 3 institutions is as follows: The arrests and detentions of journalists increased recently. 8 of our colleagues were arrested and put in prisons in March only. As the Tigris Euphrates Journalists Association (DFG), Mesopotamia Women Journalists Platform and Turkey Journalists' Union (TGS) Diyarbakır Branch, we will hold a press conference at TGS Diyarbakır Branch. We expect the participation of all our colleagues in solidarity.
