VAN- In Van, where anxiety increased due to the high numbers of Coronavirus cases in their border Iran, the citizens said that the measures were not taken neither on time nor adequately, and that they do not find the statements of the Ministry of Health realistic.

In Van, where the uneasiness has risen at its most since the cases of coronavirus (Kovid-19), which continues to die in the world, is seen high numbers in Iran, the citizens said that the measures were not taken adequately and they did not find the Ministry of Health's statements realistic. Citizens, who also mentioned that the public transportation and the areas that people use extensively are not adequately disinfected, demanded healthy information from the authorities and the cleaning works to be carried out right away.

'MEASURES WERE NOT TAKEN ADEQUATELY'

Stating that not enough precautions were taken, Burhan Adıyaman said that he kept distance with people. Adıyaman's statements continued as follows: “We see in the media that thousand of people have died out of Coronavirus in Europe.  I have no clear idea whether the virus is in the city; but I don't think adequate measures have not been taken. Having this incident in the city means an enormous economic loss as well. There are not enough precautions taken in the region.

‘MINISTRY SHOULD PROVIDE HEALTHY INFORMATION'

Saying that the coronavirus is a serious threat, Naci Bayat emphasized that the Ministry of Health should inform the public about the issue. Bayat said: "The government has left us in suspense regarding the data. Most importantly, the city in which the virus came out is hidden like a secret. It leaves a question mark in the minds of these people. We have to believe the information shared with us. We follow the Ministry of Health and social media together."

BORDERS WERE CLOSED LATE

Another citizen, Çiğdem Ediş, who said that the disinfection works were not sufficiently carried out, told: “As someone who lives in Van, I do not think that adequate measures are taken. Because neither in buses nor in schools we have not seen measures to be taken. Schools were emptied for precautionary purposes; but I have never seen a measure of disinfection. The borders were closed late. We personally took our own precaution; but I cannot say that for everybody outside. Because the roads, the public transportation vehicles are still the same, I did not see them getting cleaned. I do not also think the figures announced by the Ministry of Health are correct. I think the number is much higher. The real figures are not shared with the public."
