NEWS CENTER - HDP's imprisoned former Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş said: "Let's not forget the injustice we experienced in this process and keep alive our desire to hold them to account."

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) former Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş who has been in Edirne Type F Closed Prison since November 4, 2016, made a statement regarding the law proposal prepared by AKP- MHP and legislated by the parliament against the efforts of the opposition. Demirtaş said: "The discriminatory practices of the government should not demoralize us."

Demirtaş, sharing a speech he made at his party's group meeting from Twitter, said: "Hello everyone. We see the negative practices of the government that has been increasing lately from even here. Let's not forget the injustice we experienced in this process and keep alive our desire to hold them to account.

The discriminatory practices of the government should not demoralize us. We are not hopeless. We should turn to each other for hope and morale, not to the 'palace'. We should strengthen the solidarity and help each other. That's how the bright days will come.

The goodness and love will save us not the governments. Do not be upset. Take care of your health. My heart and prayers are with you."
