HATAY -  Mayor of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Lütfü Savaş stated that 5 of the 7 deaths in the city caused by coronavirus were recorded as "infectious diseases".

 

Hatay Metropolitan Mayor Lütfü Savaş made statements about the coronavirus (Kovid-19) cases in Hatay. According to the news in Sözcü newspaper, Savaş stated that 7 deaths occurred in Hatay so far due to coronavirus, and 5 of them were recorded as "infectious diseases". Savaş reported that the records of the patients died from coronavirus had a note attached, saying that the patients have come from Franse and Germany.

 

Stating that they know that there are about 50 coronavirus patients in Hatay and that most of the cases come from Umrah Cyprus, Europe and the Middle East, Savaş said, "We know that there are around 50 patients in Hatay who have this disease since January."

 

Savaş said that patients were treated in Mustafa Kemal University, Research and Antakya state hospitals with Iskenderun.
