Grup Yorum have made a call from their social media accounts for their member İbrahim Gökçek who is death fasting for 320 days. Grup Yorum said Gökçek is detoriorating and that his demands must be met immediately.

 

Grup Yorum who stated that their member Helin Bölek lost her life on April 3, on the 228th day of the death fast, demanding the ban on the concerts to be removed, said: "Banning the concerts of Grup Yorum means a ban on the people. We perfomed for millions in Bakırköy Square. We sang our songs together with the people. We are the artists of the people. To rip us apart from the people is killing us. We don't accept these bans."

 

The text Grup Yorum shared Gökçek's statementü, saying: "I will not end the death fast without any concrete gains. One artist walked into immortality with these bands, do you wish one more artist does the same with the same demands? Don't cause anymore deaths. Remove the ban on our concert. Release our members who were wrongfully arrested!"
