Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı, who was dismissed from office and replaced by a trustee, sent a message from prison. Mızraklı said: "The mob that did not give a grave to Aysel Tuğluk's mother in Ankara, forgetting that our dead is buried next to eachother in Çanakkale, consumed our human values and our common memory. Now it points to a new bottom where the value of being a human and the value of belief is reached. We must first be human."

 

Mızraklı made a call and said: "The patience of the oppressed determines the limit of the persecution of the oppressor. We should stop being patient and stand against persecution courageously."

 

Mızraklı also said that we should focus on minimum waste and abandon consumption frenzy.
