Meeting between DEM Party and AKP ends

ANKARA - The meeting between DEM Party Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakirhan and Tulay Hatimogullari and AKP officials lasted about two and a half hours.
 
The meeting between Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party Co-Chairs Tulay Hatimogullari and Tuncer Bakirhan and AKP officials in Parliament has ended. The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Group Deputy Chairpersons Gulistan Kilic Kocyigit and Sezai Temelli from the DEM Party, lasted approximately two and a half hours.
 
Deputy Chairperson Efkan Ala, Group Deputy Chairpersons, AKP Spokesperson Omer Celik, Abdullah Guler and Ozlem Zengin from AKP also attended the meeting.
 
After the meeting, Efkan Ala and Abdullah Guler made statements. Speaking first, Guler said, "We had very sincere and friendly exchanges. We had mutual exchange of ideas. We shared our ideas on every topic. They had suggestions. We had different evaluations." Guler said that they also discussed the commission planned to be established in the Parliament.
 
Ala then took the floor and said, "The process is continuing as anticipated, with no pauses or disruptions. It is necessary to ensure that everyone contributes as much as they can to achieve a Turkey free of terrorism. Efforts toward this goal are ongoing.”
